Privacy Policy
Tembra (“the app”) for iPhone and this website are made by Madbots Limited (“we”). This policy explains what data they handle. In short: your audio, text and voice are processed on your iPhone and never reach us.
1. What stays on your iPhone
The app’s AI models run on your iPhone. The following is processed and stored only on your device, is never uploaded and is not available to us:
- Songs and videos you import, and the tracks split from them
- Prompts you type or dictate, lyrics, and the music, songs and sounds created from them
- Audio you add for “Sound like this”
- Text you turn into speech, the speech, and recordings you use to make your own voice
- Your library, mixes and settings
Deleting an item in the app, or deleting the app, deletes this data. If you use iCloud backups, Apple may back up app data under Apple’s terms.
2. Permissions
- Microphone and speech recognition are used only when you dictate a prompt or record your voice. Dictation uses Apple’s speech recognition on your iPhone where the device supports it; otherwise Apple may process the dictation under the Apple Privacy Policy.
- Photos and Files: the app sees only the items you pick.
3. Model downloads
Some AI models are downloaded after installation from Apple’s App Store servers, like any app content. We receive nothing from these downloads.
4. Purchases
Subscriptions are bought through Apple; Apple processes your payment and Apple ID. To check whether Premium is active, the app uses RevenueCat, Inc. (USA). RevenueCat receives a random app user ID, your App Store purchase history for this app and basic technical data (app version, storefront country, device model). We never receive your name, Apple ID or payment card details. See the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
5. Optional sign-in with email
You can use the app without an account. Sign-in exists for people who subscribed on our Russian website. If you sign in, we store your email, an account ID and your subscription status on our server in Russia (Yandex Cloud), send you one-time codes by email, and link the account ID to RevenueCat so Premium works on your iPhone. You can delete the account at any time by writing to us.
6. This website
This website uses no cookies, analytics, ads, third-party scripts or fonts. Our hosting provider may keep technical access logs (IP address, time, requested page) for security for a limited time.
7. What we don’t do
We don’t sell or share personal data for advertising, don’t track you across apps or websites, and don’t use your content to train AI models.
8. Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you may ask us for access to, correction or deletion of personal data we hold about you, and you may complain to your data protection authority. Since your content stays on your iPhone, we usually hold nothing about you unless you signed in with email. Write to support@tembra.io; we answer within 30 days.
